The Vital Challenges for a New Era<\/strong> project is a transformative initiative that was born from the RAED Foundation with the aim of inspiring society through the transmission of knowledge to contribute to creating a more sustainable, healthy, ecological and inclusive world. For this purpose, Vital Challenges uses the knowledge that is part of the Royal European Academy of Doctors (RAED). Our purpose is to promote effective actions that allow us to face with hope the social, economic and ecological challenges that condition our lives today and also those of future generations.<\/p>\n

This publication has become an indispensable reference for those interested in understanding and addressing the most significant challenges of our time. Since its inception, Vital Challenges has had the purpose of being a beacon of knowledge, reflection and debate on the most pressing and relevant issues facing our society. Each edition has served as a platform for in-depth discussion and the exchange of innovative ideas, offering readers a clearer and more nuanced understanding of the complexities of today’s world.<\/p>\n

In the first three editions of the project, a total of 89 authors shared their perspectives and academic knowledge, contributing an intellectual richness and diversity of approaches that have been widely valued by our readers. These contributions, added up over the three editions, have strengthened the content and relevance of our project. These contributors, coming from diverse disciplines and with vast experience in their respective fields, have contributed to creating a corpus of academic knowledge that informs and inspires action and engagement on the defining issues of our era. Their analyses and reflections have offered valuable perspectives on issues as varied as the global economy, international politics, social justice, and sustainable development, among other crucial topics.<\/p>\n

The value of truth: towards a new era of global order<\/strong> we have brought together 110 articles, symbolically coinciding with the 110th anniversary of our institution (1914-2024). The authors have shared their perspective on the most relevant issues that concern society today. Only through this diversity of opinions can we capture the essence of the challenges we face and explore solutions from a truly comprehensive and multifaceted perspective.<\/p>\n

In addition to the 110 articles that make up this book, distributed in 11 chapters, we have included an additional chapter, written by Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Calvo, President of the RAED Institute for International Cooperation, in which he offers a detailed balance and review of the 18 Honorary Academicians who have been awarded the Nobel Prize. This analysis highlights their exceptional contributions to science and humanity, underlining the continued relevance of their achievements in a constantly evolving world.<\/p>\n

The success and influence of previous editions of Vital Challenges have been a testament to the unwavering commitment and exceptional quality of our authors, as well as to the growing interest of our readers in deepening the academic understanding of the world in which we live. Sonia Fern\u00e1ndez highlights the challenges and realities in modern research.
